Hebrew has masculine and feminine gender. But in some words it is confusing:

  • דֶּרֶךְ - the form is masculine, like כֶּלֶב and מֶלֶךְ; the plural is masculine - דְּרָכִים; but the concord with adjective is feminine - דֶּרֶךְ חֲדָשָׁה as opposed to כֶּלֶב חָדָשׁ.

Some words exist in singular, but are more common in plural: מָגוֹר - מְגוּרִים. It's similar to plurale tantum, but not identical.
